A better starting point makes a better keepsake
The best photo is not always the most polished one. Choose the image that contains the expression, posture, or small habit you want to remember.
Look for these qualities
- Clear eyes: natural light and an unobstructed face give us the most to work with.
- Enough resolution: send the original file whenever possible, not a screenshot or compressed social-media copy.
- Recognizable posture: sitting, stretching, leaning, or looking back can say as much as the face.
- Room around the subject: a little breathing space helps with portrait composition.
Photos that still work
Side profiles, sleeping photos, senior pets, black coats, busy backgrounds, and candid snapshots are all welcome. If the image has feeling, send it. We can tell you whether a second angle would help before moving forward.
Before you upload
- Remove filters, stickers, and heavy edits when you can.
- Keep the original crop and resolution.
- Have the pet’s name and your preferred mood ready.
- Tell us about any markings or details that must remain true.
